The weather was nearly perfect - cool and breezy, and the evening cooperated. The music was great, and the crowd was just the best. Initially disappointed when I read in the newspaper that Bun E. Carlos was not on this tour, and that Daxx, Rick Neilsen's son, would be on drums. However, the reality is that Daxx is a really fine drummer and did himself and his dad proud. So amazing was their set! Artikal Sound System then took the stage and let loose. Whatever age she might be, Debra Harry has an astounding voice. On July 1, I know she turned 65. Fab she looked. They did "The Tide Is High," "Call Me," "Heart of Glass," and a ton more. A rockin', rockin' time was had by all!
